Types of bets explained

How singles, accumulators and system bets work.

There are three main types of bet on the MetaWin sportsbook. Here's how each one works.

Singles

A single is a bet on one outcome, such as the winner of a football match. If your selection wins, your bet pays out.

Accumulators (combos)

An accumulator, also called a combo, joins several selections into one bet. The odds of each selection are multiplied together, which increases the potential payout, but every selection must win for the bet to pay out. If one loses, the whole bet loses.

For example, a bet on the results of four different basketball games is a 4-fold accumulator.

Accumulators with 4 or more selections may qualify for Acca Boost.

System bets

A system bet is a group of bets covering different combinations of your selections. Each combination is a separate bet with its own stake, so your total stake is your stake per bet multiplied by the number of bets.

For example, a Lucky 15 is 15 bets on 4 selections: 4 singles, 6 doubles, 4 trebles and 1 four-fold accumulator. At $1 per bet, a Lucky 15 costs $15 in total.

Because a system bet includes smaller bets, you can get a return without every selection winning. But a return isn't the same as a profit: if only one selection wins, you may get back less than your total stake.

System bets aren't eligible for Acca Boost.
